Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, registered nurses and social workers involved in the care neuropalliative care of patients.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Apply educational and messaging strategies to improve neuropalliative care interest, learning and behaviors amongst trainees and healthcare providers in practice.
- Initiate clinical programs and research that address disparities in neuropalliative care.
- Organize multidisciplinary neuropalliative care clinical programs to meet the needs of patients and families using local resources and meeting local context.
- Provide a palliative care approach to patients and families living with neurological illnesses.

Accreditation Statement
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and International Neuropalliative Care Society. MER is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE)
This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 9.25 Interprofessional continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
Physician Credit
Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nursing Credit
Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.25 ANCC nursing contact hours. Nurses will be awarded contact hours upon successful completion of the activity.
Social Work
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Medical Education Resources is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 9.25 general continuing education credits.
